TREK TEN AGAIN IN 2009 marks the second year of the Foundation's
highly successful TREK TEN TRAILS Program. This year's treks
officially began November 1, 2008 with a guided tour of the hiking trails
at Circle B Bar Reserve. You have until mid-October 2009 to complete at
least ten of the 15 featured trails - you pick which ten. You may trek on
your own at your own pace - or come out for the guided hikes of the five
new trails added this year. A whole year of trekking fun - or do all ten in a
weekend!

Just like before, you will find a self-inking stamp hidden in a geocache
along each trail. Use the stamp to validate your trek and then mail your
VALIDATION CARD by October 5, 2009 to be eligible for fabulous prizes
and a certificate of completion. Our Friends of the Parks Foundation has
formed an alliance with the annual Water Wings & Wild Things event to
host our 2009 Trek Ten Again Grand Finale Celebration and subsequent

County Library Cooperative, and Polk Outpost 27. Then just download
the FACTSHEETS from the chart below for the ten treks of your choice!
FACTSHEETS contain GPS coordinates plus "walking directions" for

Central Florida's Polk County.
2010 is the third year of the Foundation's highly successful TREK

Lakeside Preserve in Lake Alfred. You will have until October 2010 to
complete at least ten of the 21 featured trails - you pick which ten. You

hikes of the five new trails added this year, plus five from 2009 with new
geocache locations. A whole year of trekking fun - or do all ten in a
